Pacific Sport Synchro Victoria has kicked off the 2010/ 2011 season with huge momentum.
November 3rd 2010, Victoria, BC- The 2010/ 2011 season has just begun; already coaches are seeing their athletes get into shape and pushing to be the best. PSSV has three competitive groups this year: The junior team, coached by Olena Foshchevska, which consists of three solos and one duet. A 13-15 team coached by Tara Grant and a 12 and under team coached by Aisha Vance. All three teams are set to start competing and showing off their routines after Christmas.
The club is happy to congratulate the Head Coach ,Tara Grant, on the arrival of her new son, Ethan Gant. In her replacement PSSV recruited Cassidy Beaver-Nicole. Cassidy, a former National Team member continues to spread her expertise to the 13-15 athletes and the Juniors while Tara is away.
As the getting back to shape portion of the year winds down, the real training begins. PSSV athletes and coaches are all looking forward to a successful year ahead. Also, the Synchro for fun teams are starting to get the idea of what Synchronized Swimming is about, along with making new friends.Parents, Family and Friends can see what their athletes have been accomplishing at the Winter Water show set to take place on Sunday January 16th at 10am at the Commonwealth Pool in Saanich.
PSSV is a not for Profit amateur sports society located in Victoria BC. PSSV has been providing young women and girls of Victoria the technical and artistic value of Synchronized Swimming for over 30 years. The club promotes ethical and competitive sports'woman' ship with its athletes, coaches and board members.
